VinylThe Reverse Garbage warehouse is brimming with colourful and interesting materials which were destined for landfill.  We bring in a new truckload of materials every day, so the stock is always changing.  The majority of our materials are pre-consumer discards from industry.  We have timber, foam, plastics, vinyl, fabrics, metal, paper, tiles, glass, cardboard ... and so on.

Many of these materials are ideal for art and craft applications or for odd jobs around the home - at a cost far lower than purchasing "new" materials.  When you don't need a whole sheet or length of something, you can buy a small piece or offcut at Reverse Garbage.  Chances are that we will have what you're looking for - whether it's perspex, timber or bridal fabric!

Buying Reverse Garbage materials instead of "new" materials also helps you to reduce your personal ecological impact.

One section of the Reverse Garbage warehouse is called the baggable aisle.  In this aisle, you can buy materials as mixed bags.  The price for a large bag of mixed materials (large garbage bag size) is $20 while smaller bags cost $5.  This is a great way for teachers to buy cheap materials for class projects.

Subscriptions

You can subscribe to Reverse Garbage and receive a 20% discount on raw materials and 10% off artworks in the gift shop, books and recycled office paper.  Annual subscriptions cost:

Types of Materials

Reverse Garbage collects discards from more than 300 companies around Brisbane.  Some companies are regular suppliers, ensuring that we have a reasonably constant supply of some materials.  In other cases we do "one off" collections of discards. This means that we often have materials coming through the warehouse that are both unexpected and unlikely to be seen again.  We can't guarantee that we will have the same materials that you found last time, but we can guarantee that we'll have something else in its place.
