The Reverse Garbage warehouse is brimming with an amazing variety of colourful and interesting materials which would otherwise have been sent to landfill. All materials in the warehouse are clean, safe and non-toxic. The majority of our materials are pre-consumer discards from industry...timber, foam, plastics, vinyl, fabrics, metal, paper...and so on.

Many of these materials are ideal for art and craft applications or for odd jobs around the home - at a cost far lower than purchasing "new" materials. In many cases it seems crazy to have to buy a whole sheet or length of something when all you need is a small piece or offcut.

Chances are that Reverse Garbage have what you are looking for - whether it is perspex, timber or hot air balloon fabric!

Purchasing Reverse Garbage materials instead of "new" also helps you to reduce your personal ecological impact.

Materials can be purchased from the warehouse as individual items or as mixed bags. Mixed bags come in a variety of sizes and are priced accordingly. The price for a large bag of mixed materials (large garbage bag size) is $15 while smaller bags cost $5 each.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are available for regular users of Reverse Garbage materials and entitle individuals or organisations to a 20% discount on raw materials and 10% off artworks in the gift shop, books, and recycled office paper. Subscriptions cost:

• $100 for organisations (incl. GST)
• $40 for individuals (incl. GST)
• $25 for low income individuals (incl. GST)

Types of Materials

Reverse Garbage collects discards from over 300 companies around Brisbane. Some companies are regular suppliers, ensuring that we have a reasonably constant supply of some materials. In other cases we do "one off" collections of discards. This means that we often have materials coming through the warehouse that are both unexpected and unlikely to be seen again. We can't guarantee that we will have the same materials that you found last time, but we can guarantee that we'll have something else in its place. If we don't have what you're looking for, let us know and we'll try to source it for you.

If you have a regular requirement for a particular material, let us know and we can try to find a consistent supply of a re-used/discarded material to meet your requirements.

Mail Order Materials for Schools and Kindies

We have primary shcool and kindy packs which we can send to you, anywhere in Queensland, for $70 including postage and handling.  We pack a good range of interesting materials into one of our barrels so that you also receive a great container the children can decorate,  Packs must be pre-paid either by cheque or by credit card over the phone.  Please phone Lyn Graham on 07 3844 9744 if you would like further information.
